Golf:
Its 18 holes opened in 2000, and since then the course has been maintained to the highest standards of the Four Seasons chain. Since late 2010, it has been the course of Carmelo Golf Club and the venue for PGA Uruguay and other major tournaments. It has a Driving Range of more than 250 yards, a large hitting platform, approach greens, a Putting Green, and a Croquet court at the foot of the Club terraces. The Golf School operates year-round.
Polo:
Carmelo Polo Club, a member of the Uruguayan Polo Association since 2011, is based at Carmelo Golf. Its field, built under the direction of Ing. Alejandro Battro, invites visitors to enjoy the sport in a unique setting just 60 km from Buenos Aires.
The tournament season runs from October to April, bringing together local, Argentine, and European polo players. It has also established an alliance with the Polo Club de Chantilly (Paris) and Aix Pertuis (Aix en Provence).
Year-round activities include tournaments, exhibitions, and a school under the direction of Marcelo (Puma) Pizzorno, polo manager.
Club House:
With more than 700 m², it meets high quality standards. Fine materials, design, and good taste create an ideal setting for enjoying sunsets on the terraces overlooking the golf course. Owners and guests can enjoy dining options with family and friends or at corporate events.
Private beach:
A path through a pine forest leads to a white-sand beach, where visitors can enjoy sunsets over the river. It is ideal for relaxation and water sports such as windsurfing, kitesurfing, and kayaking.
Port:
Access to the moorings at Puerto Camacho, the gateway to Puerto Carmelo and a departure point for fishing, skiing, wakeboarding, and boat trips.
La Estancia:
The Carmelo Golf Lodge will be located here. It retains the typical style of a Uruguayan country estate and has a bar, restaurant, lounges, changing rooms, tennis courts, and a swimming pool overlooking the polo field.
Villas del Golf:
The master plan includes two areas for condominium construction overlooking the driving range, surrounded by mature Tannat vineyards.
Lots:
Carmelo Golf has lots ranging from 1,700 to 4,700 m². The project is designed to suit each client’s preferences: facing the polo field, facing the golf course, facing a body of water with a private dock, or beneath leafy trees in the middle of a forest. It also has a 4,200 m² macro-lot where a hotel is planned.
Subdivision infrastructure:
- Telephone and internet: the entire subdivision has telephone ducts for the necessary cable internet connection. The provider is Antel, which offers good service.
- Electricity: all lots have underground electrical connections.
- Television: options are DirecTV or Carmelo cable. Both options are over the air.
- Water: there is a well in the neighborhood, from which water is distributed to all the houses.
- Gas: gas tanks.
Beach activities:
There are various options, such as kayaking, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and stand-up paddleboarding. Those who bring a motorboat can also go skiing or visit unique beaches in the Delta.
