Golf:
Its 18 holes opened in 2000, and since then the course has been maintained to the highest standards of the Four Seasons chain. Since late 2010, it has been the course of Carmelo Golf Club and the venue for PGA Uruguay and other major tournaments. It features a driving range of more than 250 yards, a large hitting platform, approach greens, a putting green, and a croquet court at the foot of the Club’s terraces. The Golf School operates year-round.
Polo:
Carmelo Polo Club, a member of the Uruguayan Polo Association since 2011, is based at Carmelo Golf. Its spectacular field, built under the direction of Eng. Alejandro Battro, invites visitors to enjoy the mystique of this sport in a unique setting, just 60 km from Buenos Aires.
The tournament season runs from October to April, bringing together renowned local, Argentine, and European polo players. It has also established an alliance with Polo Club de Chantilly (Paris) and Aix Pertuis (Aix en Provence).
Year-round activities: tournaments, exhibitions, and a school directed by Marcelo (Puma) Pizzorno, polo manager.
Club House:
With more than 700 m², it meets the highest quality standards. Fine materials, excellent design, and good taste create the ideal atmosphere for enjoying a sunset on the terraces overlooking the golf course. Owners and guests can discover the different dining options and enjoy an excellent experience to share with family and friends or at corporate events.
Private beach:
A path through a pine forest leads to the white-sand beach, where visitors can enjoy the sunset over the river. Ideal for relaxing and practicing water sports (windsurfing, kitesurfing, kayaking).
Harbor:
Access to the moorings at Puerto Camacho, the gateway to Puerto Carmelo and a starting point for afternoons of fishing, skiing, wakeboarding, and boat trips.
La Estancia:
The future site of the Carmelo Golf Lodge, it retains the typical style of a Uruguayan country estate. It has a bar, restaurant, lounges, changing rooms, tennis courts, and a swimming pool overlooking the polo field.
Villas del Golf:
The master plan provides for two areas for condominium construction overlooking the driving range, surrounded by mature Tannat grape vineyards.
Lots:
Carmelo Golf has large lots ranging from 1,700 to 4,700 m².
The project is designed to suit each client’s preferences: those who want to live facing the polo field, the golf course, a body of water with their own dock, or beneath a leafy canopy in the middle of a forest.
It also has a 4,200 m² macrolot where a hotel is planned.
Subdivision infrastructure:
- Telephone and internet: the entire subdivision has telephone ducts for the necessary cable internet connection. The internet provider is Antel, which provides good service.
- Electricity: all lots have underground electrical connections.
- Television: the options are DirecTV or Carmelo cable. Both options are over the air.
- Water: there is a well in the community, from which water is distributed to all homes.
- Gas: gas tanks.
Beach activities:
Various options include kayaking, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and stand-up paddleboarding. Those who bring a boat can also go skiing or visit unique beaches in the Delta.
